About

On Gallows Hill follows an all-American boy's offbeat and dark descent into the unwinding world
of vampires. Our unlikely hero stumbles across a coven of old world vampires, finds love in the most unexpected of places, and uncovers the twisted history of an age-old bloody business in a madcap comedy of errors.

OGH takes a tired genre and injects new life into it. The narrative follows Matt, a lackadaisical college student who gets bitten by an unseen assailant one night. Matt wakes up two days later, exhausted, feverish and thirsty.
And therein lies the films’ catch. Matt cannot just have any blood, but his specific blood type- O-negative blood, one of the rarest types.  The story begs the question “How would the classical vampires’ world change if they required specific blood types in order to survive?”

At the end of the day, the surreal world of OGH is a love-letter to the shoestring budget black comedies of the 70s and 80s, pulling inspiration from films like Return of the Living Dead, Creepshow, and Fright Night.
